Can I use a home test to test my child before they return to school?
Yes. A Home test is acceptable.
Does RCS provide rapid tests to students and staff?
Yes! If staff or students develop symptoms WHILE ON CAMPUS, they may be tested before they leave. Parents must provide written consent using the "Consent to Testing" form on our site.
My child tested negative the day after he was exposed to Covid-19, are they cleared to come back to school?
No. Testing must be done on day 5, 6, or 7 AFTER the exposure. Then students may return to school on the 8th day with a negative test.
My child tested positive for COVID-19 two months ago, can they still come to school after being exposed?
Yes. Please provide documentation from a doctors office or pharmacy, and your child will not have to quarantine for 90 days after the date of the positive test.
Who needs to quarantine?
Only the person exposed to the positive case needs to quarantine. Family members of the exposed person do not need to quarantine unless the exposed person develops symptoms.
I was exposed to COVID-19, does my child need to quarantine?
No. Only those who are exposed to a positive case, need to quarantine. A student who is exposed to an exposed person, can still come to school.
